Did you know that government is currently reviewing how massage is taught?
This will likely impact how massage and myotherapy are taught into the future.
Government has asked SkillsIQ* to carry out the review, which will make recommendations to government.
As part of the review, SkillsIQ is required to consult with the profession. SkillsIQ says that every voice counts – that means that your voices together count for much more than your association’s voice.
The best way to have your voice heard is to sign up to SkillsIQ’s newsletter and respond them when they ask for input. Here is how (link here). Ensure that when you sign up, you select eBlasts and ENews for Manage newsletter subscriptions and Complimentary Health for Manage sectors of interest.
So get subscribing – and don’t forget to remind your colleagues to subscribe too.
As your professional association, here is what Myotherapy Australia is doing to help ensure this review works in the best interests of our profession and clients. We will continue to share our activities with you going forward, including any submissions that we make.
Some people have told us they are not receiving SkillsIQ’s newsletters. If you not receiving SkillsIQ emails, please contact them at [email protected]
