Jay P. Shah, MD is a physiatrist and clinical investigator in the Rehabilitation Medicine Department at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland USA. His interests include the pathophysiology of myofascial pain and the integration of physical medicine techniques with promising complementary approaches in the management of neuro-musculoskeletal pain and dysfunction. He also completed the UCLA Medical Acupuncture course and a two-year Bravewell Fellowship at the Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine.
Joanne Elphinston is a movement philosopher, performance consultant and international lecturer in rehabilitation. From her wide ranging work in elite sport and the performing arts, to her continued clinical interest in chronic and complex presentations, Joanne’s path of inquiry lies in what connects us in the deeply human experience of movement.
Joanne is the creator of the JEMS approach, a holistic but meticulously clinically reasoned method for integrating the science and the art of clinical practice. Through two decades of prolific teaching across multiple countries, Joanne’s work is now used by clinical practitioners in a wide array of settings, and has underpinned an array of research projects in Sweden.
Wayne Rodgers is a sports and exercise physiotherapist, functional strength coach and highly experienced course presenter with over 30 years of clinical experience. he has been a sports physiotherapist for several national and international sports teams including the Australian Netball team and the Australian Commonwealth Games team.
Bodine is a soft tissue therapist, senior educator and assistant director for Advanced Clinical Education. Bodine has been practicing in both private practice and with local state and national level sport over the past 12 years. He has developed a special interest in chronic pain disorders particularly in the lumbar spine, hip and shoulder.
Courtney is a pelvic health physiotherapist based in Brisbane. She works full time at a specialist women’s health physiotherapy practice, All Women’s Health, where she enjoys treating a variety of concerns including incontinence, prolapse and pelvic pain. Courtney is passionate about raising awareness of pelvic health issues and working alongside other health professionals to optimise patient outcomes.
