PROVIDING MYOTHERAPY TREATMENTS TO WORKSAFE (VIC) PATIENTS - under the Remedial Massage category
WorkSafe Victoria (WorkSafe) are streamlining treatment payments for providers. A joint initiative between Worksafe and the TAC is currently developing a single, consistent, automated payment processing system for use across both organisations. This system brings most payment rules between the two organisations into alignment, and will provide consistency between WorkSafe Agents and the TAC in how invoices are interpreted and paid.
With the introduction of the new system, invoices submitted to the WorkSafe will need to include the below information in order to be processed:
· the injured person’s name and a valid claim number. If you do not yet have the claim number, please include the date of birth and date of accident/injury
· your Medicare provider number (if you have one) or your WorkSafe provider number or TAC payee details and the name
· the Medicare provider number of the requesting/referring provider (WorkSafe only).
As a result of the changes, more information will be available on your remittance notice - for example, for WorkSafe invoices, denied services will appear for the first time making reconciliation easier.
