New MA Interim Member Policy (for Myotherapy Students eligible for RM Provider Numbers)

October 18, 2016 - 1 minute read

Effectively immediately, graduates of the DipRM who are are eligible for RM provider numbers, and who intend to enrol in either the BHSc (Clinical Myotherapy), BHSc (Myotherapy) or AdvDip (Myotherapy), are eligible for Interim Myotherapy Association Australia Membership. DipRM graduates admitted as Interim Members (and who will therefore have RM provider number managed via MA) will be required to enrol in the BHSc (Clinical Myotherapy), BHSc (Myotherapy) or AdvDip (Myotherapy) within 12 months of their graduation from the DipRM.

This change in policy enables DipRM graduates, who intend to continue their studies and qualify as myotherapists, to access Interim membership of Australia’s only professional association dedicated to Myotherapy.  It also enables DipRM graduates, who intend to progress immediately to Myotherapy student status, to attain RM provider numbers. It also gives them access to Australia’s best value professional indemnity/public liability insurance via Myotherapy Association Australia without having to wait to enrol in a Myotherapy program.
