The Toni Moynihan Research Seminar
The Toni Moynihan Research Seminar
Toni Moynihan was a myotherapist who made a long-term contribution to our profession in the areas of practice, administration and both undergraduate and post-graduate education. She was a passionate campaigner for the improvement in the quality of our profession and the credibility of myotherapists in order that we continue to be valued contributors to the healthcare system.
The Toni Moynihan Research Seminar will be an annual three hour seminar held in May on a relevant topic in journal club format where the latest research papers will be presented and a discussion facilitated on the research findings and how they may influence the practice of myotherapy. This seminar has a dual purpose; that is to update participants on the latest research on a particular topic and via the journal club format, expose participants to locating, presenting, discussing and critiquing relevant research papers.
To further reflect the values of Toni Moynihan, the Toni Moynihan Research Seminar is a day where practicing myotherapists, myotherapy students and associated fellows can come together in a supportive environment and participate in an important annual event where our profession can be further defined and improved.
